Customer Service Representative

Capitol City Produce is looking to add an EXCEPTIONAL Customer Service Representative to the team. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, professional, and works well under pressure.

What does the Customer Service Representative  do at CCP?

As a member of our family owned business, the Customer Service Representative will be responsible for accurately taking and entering customer orders. They will also be responsible for identifying possible areas of concern and contacting the appropriate personnel. Provide feedback to management regarding customer purchasing patterns and trends. They are able to multitask in a fast paced environment and handle multiple busy phone lines at one time.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Three (3) to Six (6) years Customer Service experience required.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills (professional, friendly, courteous and helpful).
  • Excellent Problem Solving Skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to speak clearly and professionally.
  • Proficient in 10 key data entry.
  • Proficient with Google Suites and thorough knowledge of Excel and other spreadsheet functions.
  • Excellent analytical and thinking skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which will include some evenings, weekends and overtime.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer incoming calls and properly direct/route calls.
  • In a professional manner, accurately take and key in customers’ orders.
  • Ensure that daily customers have placed an order, if not will follow up with customers.
  • May work an occasional Mid/Nightshift.
  • One Saturday Morning/ Holiday required following full training.

Capitol City Produce is a wholesale produce distributor, located at 1-12 and O'Neal Lane in Baton Rouge. We service our customers with fresh fruits and vegetables, local produce, specialty produce, and fresh dairy products. Our delivery area encompasses a 200 miles radius of the Baton Rouge area.
